Confirm the destination first
When accessing Cursor, AI tools, international websites, or streaming services, start with the region where the target service is located or a nearby region. Matching the region generally produces more stable results than choosing a distant route at random.
Then assess the route type
For everyday browsing, start with a direct or transit route. For continuous sessions, remote collaboration, or extended transfers, compare IEPL dedicated routes as well—do not rely on the route name alone; consider the actual use case.
Finally, verify at the application layer
Once the route shows as connected, open the target website and complete a real request. Establishing a tunnel does not guarantee that the target service will respond; application-layer verification helps distinguish route issues from server-side status.

Route selection order
Choose a region based on the target service, then compare route types within that region. For services in Japan, start with Tokyo; for services in North America, begin with a United States route. If the service has no clear regional requirement, test a geographically closer node first. Route names are only categories—the final judgment should be based on whether the page opens, login works, and the connection remains usable.
Switching boundaries
Before changing nodes, finish any active upload, remote session, or long-running task if possible, then continue after the client reconnects. If the target website keeps an old session, refresh the page or establish the connection again.
